Youn Yuh Jung Is The First Korean Actress To Win ‘Best Supporting Actress Award’ At The ‘2021 Oscar Awards’

Actress Youn Yuh Jung, 74, won an Academy Award for her acting.

On April 26, Youn Yuh Jung won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in the American independent movie “Minari” at the 93rd Academy Awards.

Youn Yuh Jung competed for the Best Supporting Actress trophy with Glenn Close in “Hillbilly Elegy,” Maria Bakalova in “Borat 2 Subsequent Movie Film,” Olivia Colman in “The Father,” and Amanda Seyfried in “Mank.” 

Youn Yuh Jung is the first Korean actor to win an Oscar for acting. She also became the second Asian actress to win an award from the ‘Academy Awards.’
