JYP Apologizes For The Controversy Over TWICE’s Hanbok Being Similar To BLACKPINK Jisoo’s Hanbok

JYP Entertainment apologizes for the controversy over TWICE‘s hanbok.

Earlier, TWICE’s agency released a video of “Switch to me” by DAHYUN and CHAEYOUNG – Melody Project” on its official YouTube channel. In the video, the two girls wore hanboks similar to the outfit worn by BLACKPINK’s Jisoo during the music video “How You Like That.”

After receiving criticism from fans, JYP Entertainment released a statement expressed their apologies, “Hello. This is JYP Entertainment. Regarding the clothes seen in Dahyun and Chaeyoung’s Melody Project video, these hanboks were purchased through hanbok distributors. “

“Even so, we couldn’t recognize the resemblance to other people’s work. We want to sincerely apologize for this error.”

“We would like to provide an explanation as well as a sincere apology to the designers involved. We will be more careful to ensure that this will not happen again, ” the agency explained.
