Clinique Korea is removing Red Velvet Irene‘s advertisements following her recent controversy.
According to the guidelines from Clinique’s headquarters, the stores are putting down Irene’s promotional advertising posters and replacing her with other images. The image of the product on the homepage has also been changed.
Clinique chose Irene as their exclusive model in March. At that time, Clinique said they selected Irene as a model because they thought she could express Clinique’s motto, “healthy and happy skin,” better than anyone else.
